CHOOSING A PLATFORM
When choosing a Digital Audio Workstation to record and edit your auditions and projects, the "right" one for you is the one you are comfortable with. That said, most people, once they dive in to one DAW, will stick with that for a long time. You're comfortable with what you know! Here we have two DAWs (more coming soon) that range from basic to more comprehensive, in training and what the DAW can actually do.
The Twisted Wave software costs a little bit, but we have a free tutorial below. Pro Tools has a version that's free and great for voiceover talent, but takes a little bit more to learn. That said, Adam's Learn Pro Tools course will have you up and running in under an hour. It also comes with some great bonuses. Whatever DAW you choose, we'll be here to help guide you.

LEARN PRO TOOLS FOUNDATIONAL
Pro Tools is one of the best digital audio workstations used by the top sound design engineers across the world. With this course, you’ll become proficient and learn to utilize the program for voiceover creation. “Learn Pro Tools Foundational Course” is taught by Adam Schneider, who has worked in sound editing for over 20 years. He’ll walk VO talent through recording, editing and exporting audio files. Schneider says the video is designed to get people familiar with the program in under an hour.
This course covers the basics of setting up a Pro Tools session including track setup, inputs and outputs; recording audio and reviewing tool options; editing audio through trimming and highlighting; and exporting audio by consolidating, naming files and selecting the proper file settings.
